Home > Dublin Fire Brigade > Stations

Dublin Fire Brigade has 15 stations 11 of which are fulltme crewed 24 hours a day every day of the year. The four retained stations are crewed only when responding to a call via a paging system or on drill nights where crews practice their firefighting skills. These retained stations are located in North Country Dublin at Swords, Malahide, Balbriggan and Skerries. Sword had a new station opened in 2004 and it is envisaged that this will be going fulltime in the near future.

Each fulltime station has an ambulance (H.Q. has 2 ) except Dun Laoghaire and is crewed by 2 firefighter/ Paramedic 1(E.M.T- B)
The stations are organized into six districts Alpha to Foxtrot with a district officer in charge of each e.g. District Officer Alpha.
Each station and vehicle has it's own callsign and all callsigns are preceded by the word Delta which signifies Dublin. CK or Charlie Kilo is Cork etc.
