Human Behaviour Contributing to Unintentional
Residential Fire Deaths 1997-2003
A very interesting report carried out by Dr.
Ian Miller for the New Zealand Fire Service Commission it gives us
a better understanding of the behaviour of people who are involved
in residential fire related fatalities. While a a study done in Zealand
the report researched information from much further afield including
Ireland and makes an interesting read.

TGD's give guidance on how to construct a building so that it complies
with the Regulations. Where works are carried out in accordance with
the TGDs, this will indicate compliance with the Regulations. The
adoption of an approach different to the TGD's is not prohibited,
provided that the approach meets the requirements of the Regulations.
